Is it possible to update it without wiping the whole HDD.
I really dont want to factory reset it, because I have so many clips and other files that I want to keep. Says update complete and when it restarts it doesnt want to boot. hi everyone this how i got mine and my friends ps4 to work after the 7.02 update we tried everything until i did this but i hope this helps link to update do. Back at the beggining, checked the HDD and it just doesnt want to update. Tried with USB (FAT32, 4 GB storage abd everything named and downloaded corectly) the ps4 got it, downloaded the update, applied it and after restart - nothing. After that it restarted and checked my HDD again and I was at the beggining.
First it downloaded the update, then it started applying it. ,update file 7.51 available” I press it to update. I booted it in safe mode and tried internet (with lan cable). So the next day I go to turn it on and it says that I need to install the update file via usb, disc or internet. I didnt want to turn it on again because of the possibility that it could go out again. I had a power outage the other day my ps4 was on.
